General

Ooh, good question! There are 3 ways to shop:

Curated Boxes: We've done the heavy lifting for you. Choose from our thoughtfully curated, ready to ship gift boxes and add a card and a note. We will handwrite it for a personal touch. We do the work and you get the glory - you clever thing, you.

Build a Gift Box: You know what you want and you're not afraid to tell us to stick our curated boxes where the sun don't shine. More power to you! Use our handy build a gift box option to create the perfect gift box from scratch. Choose your box style, add tons of awesome stuff, and add a card and your note. We will handwrite it for a personal touch. Damn, we like your style.

A La Carte: Because you want to treat your damn self but don't want to pull a full on Cher Horowitz in Clueless and send yourself gifts (BTW if you do want to do that, we fully support it). Shop all our products and skip the gift packaging.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on gift boxes, whether purchased from the curated gift box section or through the build a box option.                             

If you purchased through the a la carte option, you may request a return within 15 days of receiving your item(s). The item(s) must be unused, in the original packaging, and otherwise in new condition. Some items, including but not limited to food, beverage, and adult novelty items, are not eligible for return. Note that original shipping fees will not be refunded and you may be responsible for return shipping charges and restocking fees. We will process returns in 7-10 business days after receiving the item(s). Additional processing time on the part of payment providers should be anticipated before you see your refund.

To initiate the return process, please email us at talktome@saltyboxco.com. Include "Return Request" in the subject line and provide your order number and reason for returning in the body of the email. 

Once we begin processing your order, we cannot accept cancellations. 

Orders for gift boxes will not include receipts or packing slips so have no fear, no gifting faux pas here! Some of our products may have prices labeled on them and we will not remove those so as not to damage the packaging. We will, however, make an effort to conceal the price by crossing it out.

If you ordered from the a la carte option, you will receive a packing slip with your order.

Shipping & Delivery

Orders are generally processed within 2-3 business days. If an expedited shipping option was chosen, we will process within 1-2 business days. Processing times may be longer during peak seasons and/or holidays. 

We ship in the United States. Sorry, we currently do not ship internationally.

We ship with USPS and UPS.

Your items will be shipped from our location in Los Angeles, CA. Gift boxes will be carefully packaged in a shipping box with protective filling to make sure everything arrives in perfect condition. Depending on size, a la carte orders will either be shipped in a protective bubble mailer or a shipping box.

Products

We source our products from other small businesses that share the same sense of humor and obsession with unique, quality items that we do! We love carrying products made by companies that share our values and reflect and support our communities and those that are important to us (women- owned, minority-owned, sustainable, small batch, and more!).
